WellCheck is a popular event you won't want to miss.

The WellCheck provides MUS Choices Medical Plan members (18 or older) the opportunity to obtain valuable Comprehensive Health Screenings twice per Plan year (July 1 - June 30) at no cost for Plan members.

The MUS Comprehensive Health Screening includes:  Comprehensive Metabolic Panel + Lipid Panel (Cholesterol) + Complete Blood Count (CBC) + Iron + TSH (Thyroid) + PSA (Prostate) Blood Test (men over 50) + Biometric Screening. Other additional lab tests are available for an additional cost.  When you register online for your WellCheck, you will be able to select the MUS paid Comprehensive Health Screening (FR - Basic Panel + (full reflex medical with iron) lab test) and additional lab tests that are available for an additional cost.  The cost for additional lab tests is significantly reduced when compared to a traditional medical setting and therefore cannot be submitted to the Medical Plan claims administrator.  The cost for additional lab tests can be paid for by using a Flexible Spending Account debit card.

Fall Flu Shots: Flu shots are offered at WellCheck events at no cost for MUS Choices Medical Plan members (18 or older) in the fall (based on national vaccine availability).

How to Sign up:

Information about your WellCheck event (time, location, and how to register) will be mailed to your home address prior to the event. You can attend ANY WellCheck event at any location if you are a MUS Choices Medical Plan member (18 or older). WellCheck registration is usually open one month prior to the event.

If you are registering yourself and a spouse, a separate account must be created for each of you.

How to Prepare:

1. Fast for at least 10 hours, drink plenty of water prior to screening, take prescription medication as prescribed, no strenuous exercise 10 hours prior to your screening, do not attend if you have severe cold or flu symptoms, and if possible wear clothes with loose fitting sleeves.

2. You will be asked to present a picture identification and MUS Medical Plan ID card. Please bring those with you.

3. Methods of payment: If you choose any of the optional lab tests, please be prepared to pay at the time of service. It Starts With Me accepts checks and debit/credit cards.

4. With an appointment, health screenings take about 20 minutes. It is imperative that you have an appointment.

5. The health screening staff will draw your blood and provide a Biometric Screening.

6. You will receive your lab test results within 14 days of your screening date at the
address you provide at registration.  Biometric Screening results are provided to you at WellCheck.
